The transition that reorganizes everything.
Whether you wanted it or not, something changed. Or nothing changed, and that's the problem.
Something shifted. A job, a city, a relationship, a diagnosis, a child, a parent. Maybe you chose it. Maybe it landed on you. Either way, the ground rearranged.
Or here is the other version. Nothing changed at all, and that is the problem. You're standing in a life that fits a little less every year.
Transitions are strange because the outside usually settles long before the inside does. People assume you've adjusted. You're still kind of disoriented.
Either way, the version of yourself that's been managing from the outside can't hold it anymore. And forcing it tends to make things worse.
A transition is not just a change in circumstance. It is a change in who you have to be.

Meeting who you're becoming
The goal isn't to get you back to normal. The old normal is what's ending. The work is to meet who you are becoming, instead of dragging who you were into a life that no longer fits.
